BioIdentic started intensive research and product development in the field of fingerprint authentication in the beginning of 2004. At the end of 2004 BioIdentic released the first version of it's feature extraction and matching software. Since then the algorithm speed and size has been greatly optimized allow implementation in embedded applications. The latest version uses advanced image quality assessment for accurate finger capturing and multiple enrolments for the best quality of the fingerprint templates.
